What you'll do
-
Lead and coach individuals in the Group Advertising Technology department around agile principles, ways of working, mentality and behaviours – Agile principles over and above specific Agile methods and promote early delivery of business value.

Creation of Agile training for a range of roles, levels and stakeholders.

Facilitate learning and development through individual Tribe/Squad coaching, trainings, and workshops on Agile principles and values within the department.

Understand what is right for the Tribes & Squads, depending on what stage they are in their agile transformation journey.

Facilitate key Agile ceremonies such as Weekly replenishment, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up’s, Reviews, Retrospectives, 1:1 and team coaching sessions.

Working with Programme Delivery Managers, Product Managers, Product Owners and Team members to help them understand their roles and providing specific coaching to them.

Work with the key roles across our Tribes and Squads to increase team performance through maturity assessments, understanding of Flow etc and overall effectiveness.

Help teams identify and address any organisational, product-related or technical impediments and appropriately facilitate escalation and removal

Coach our Product Owners in the skills of backlog management, prioritisation, and importance of balance between business features and technical debt to ensure team are correctly focused

Enable collaboration across-teams and cross-departments and in helping identify and improve organisational-level challenges

Provide line management and coaching to future Coaches and train the future trainers.
What you'll bring

Assertive, has the ability to see a problem, step in and then step out when appropriate, to ensure that Agile principles are adhered to while being pragmatic about practices, making the sophisticated concepts simple.

Enthusiastic and engaging, to be a source of motivation for individuals and teams and able to lead teams to self-organisation.

Sound experience of using data to make decisions and improve team performance e.g. but not limited to, understanding Flow, Maturity Assessments etc.

A solid sense of continuous improvement to continually be growing once’s own craft, learning new tools and sharing techniques across community.

Experienced in training teams in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean with special interest in role based trainings like Scrum Master, Product Owner, Kanban Flow manager etc.

Experience in working as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Kanban Flow Manager or similar relevant roles.

Experience of working with distributed teams (outsourced, remote site) and where the Product Owner and Test Analysts are inhouse and the software delivery is through a 3rd Party.

Knowledge of advanced enterprise Agile methods (E.g. DevOps, Scaled Agile (SAFe, Scrum of Scrums), Design Thinking, Tools such as Jira, ActionableAgile and Aha!) alongside strong verbal and written skills, presentation skills and ability to empower teams in Agile ways of working.

Experience of Change Management and effectively leading teams through change, along with the ability to coach the future coaches and train the future trainers.
This position would best suit a motivated Agile Coach or Flow Manager who has experience working hands on across many Tribes and Squads who use a mix of Kanban & Scrum delivery approaches. You must be passionate about agile, with the team at the forefront of everything. Experience in a technical product development environment and will have previous experience in software engineering, product development with a significant reliance on 3rd parties for delivery.
