After School Cooking and Baking Instructor
Food Explorers Club is a project-based, hands-on food education. Do you have experience teaching kids and a passion for cooking? Become a Food Explorers club Culinary Instructor!
Our program offers children ages five and above fun, educational, hands-on scratch cooking and baking with real food and natural ingredients. If you are interested in honing your classroom leadership and management skills while gaining teaching experience and having an absolute blast cooking delicious seasonal real food. What are Food Explorers Club After-School Culinary Nutrition Enrichment Programs?
During the hour-long sessions, the students learn fundamental culinary skills, Food and Kitchen safety, and explore seasonal fresh food ingredients. Our programs are designed to teach kids.
Culinary Nutrition to build a lifelong healthy eating behavior, critical life skills of cooking, and be a global food explorer.
What we are looking for:
- Must pass a criminal background check and TB test
- Must have a reliable car with a valid driver's license, a current registration, and insurance
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a love for children and experience working with children aged 4-12 (as a parent, teacher, babysitter, tutor)
- Must have a passion for cooking and for discovering the world through food
- Strong leadership skills, quick thinking, and adaptability to new environments
- Reliability, organizational skills, commitment – we need to be able to count on you
- Independently drive around to different locations for the classes
Dates and Time Commitment:
Weekday Afternoons- from 2:45 pm- 5:30 pm M-F
Commitment and Contract Period:
8-10 week commitment per session
The contract is from March 2023-May 2023, with the possibility of extending to the Summer of 2023 and beyond
Compensation-$65-$75 per class with reimbursement for groceries and fuel
Location: One day of the week will have to go to campus in one of the following locations- Milpitas, Fremont, Pleasanton and Dublin
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Internship
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

- Fremont, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
