The Opportunity
We are seeking a Consultant to work with the Bristol Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) team, to promote the delivery of an expanding Intelligent Mobility (IM) project portfolio in the West of England, Wales, and the wider UK. They will boost the provision of technical, programme and procurement advice and design services to deliver solutions for a transport system that balances the needs of the economy, the environment and society.
This position will involve contributing to the delivery of technical consultancy and strategic advice to clients. It will include working with team members to design and develop innovative solutions within aligned timescales and budgets. The role also provides technical support to existing clients on existing projects and promote to our regional guide in raising Arup’s profile with these key clients, including DfT, Highways England, Local Councils and Private sector Clients.
Is this role right for you?
We're looking for candidates who:
- Hold an academic background in relevant discipline
- Has achieved or working towards Chartered Engineer status or professional qualification and a member of a relevant professional institution(s)
- Has proven experience in consultancy/design in Intelligent Mobility or related areas
Desirable:
- Has previous experience working on Urban, Inter-Urban Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Smart Cities projects for Local Councils
- Has good knowledge of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) technology
