NHS Shared Business Services are looking for an Events and Exhibition Manager to join their Marketing and Communications team reporting to the Head of Marketing and Brand. You will collaborate with various in-house teams and external agencies, with responsibilities for planning, delivering and evaluating not only NHS SBS’s presence at external exhibitions, but also our larger employee events. All Marketing & Communications activity is directed to support the income-generation, reputation-building, and awareness-raising objectives of our business.
The successful candidate will own and manage our events & exhibitions calendar. You will work with organisers and internal stakeholders to deliver success at each exhibition. Responsibilities include researching and securing suitable venues (via our venue searching company) for internal events. Negotiate quotes and agreements with vendors, assist with event marketing, and be responsible for delivering truly effective events and exhibitions on time and to budget.
There will be an expectation to attend the Leeds office once a week and also travel to venues across England.
What you will be doing:
Managing our events calendar ensuring on time delivery within budget (B2B and B2C)

Development, production, and delivery of projects from proposal to delivery

Setting, communicating, and maintaining timelines and priorities

Maintaining and developing internal and external stakeholder relationships

Leading operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently

Providing leadership, motivation, direction and support to the team

Travelling to on-site inspections and project managing events
-
Implementing an online event management solution across the business
What you will bring:
Events management degree or similar qualification-
Validated experience of developing, delivering, and evaluating successful events

Strong stakeholder management skills, and the presence and personality to engage with, and influence, collaborators at all levels

The ability to prioritise between sometimes competing events, and the project management expertise to deliver successfully against multiple priorities at pace

Demonstrable experience of writing and developing accurate, compelling content for a range of audiences for events.

Experience of defining and evaluating return on investment on event activities

Proficiency in applicable software and programs – MS Office, email platforms, digital marcomms, design and social media tools

Full driving licence with use of own vehicle
