Permanent Vacancy, 37.5 hours available, open to part time or full time applications (female only, awake nights included).
We are currently seeking self-motivated individuals to join our care and support team supporting a female customer based in her own home in Canvey Island. Hours will include awake nights, 8:30pm to 7:30am or 8am and day shifts are 07:30am - 9pm (including weekends).
In this role you will provide support to individuals with the focus being to maintain and provide responsive and effective support to with those with complex needs as well as developing skills, independence and community involvement. This includes day trips out and being involved with their hobbies and interests, alongside seasonal activities which are encouraged too.
Due to the nature of the role and customer group, please note we are only able to accept applications from female candidates. This is a genuine and lawful occupational requirement and is therefore exempted from the usual requirements of the Equality Act 2010.
Your responsibilities will include:
To provide person centred support to people with all aspects of their daily living including but not limited to personal care, tenancy management and involvement in the community
To maintain records of support provided and to actively contribute to support planning and periodic reviews
To positively contribute to the corporate core values of Innovation, Care and Excellence
To be able to actively participate and contribute to providing a 24 hour service that is Caring, Safe and Responsive to the needs of the people we support in an Effective and Well Led manner
To develop and maintain effective professional relationships with service users and other key stakeholders such as family, friends and advocates
To take responsibility for shift leading as per the rota in operation
To actively participate in regular team meetings, supervisions and other meetings
You are required to have the following:
