About the Role
Due to the continued growth in student numbers in Chemistry & Forensic, a technician vacancy has arisen for a Forensic science Technician to work and oversee a suite of forensic science labs, supporting the Forensic teaching labs and the crime scene training facility
Working as part of a flexible and busy team of technicians spread across multiple buildings, the role will involve providing technical support to students, researchers and academics involved in the Forensic Science. This is an exciting opportunity for a technician with relevant experience, ideally with some experience in a higher education environment.
You will assist with the management and maintenance of the labs, ensuring they are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness & organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that equipment in the labs is maintained and enable students to undertake their work, from simple equipment such as balances to high spec instrumentation.
You will also be expected to be flexible and support colleagues and students in other areas of the School of Science and Technology, as part of a School-wide technical team.
