If so, then we want you to come and join our friendly team. We need customer-focused people to help us run and develop a high-quality service at various Bristol libraries.
Bristol Libraries are looking for a professionally qualified children’s librarian to provide services to children and young people.
Key tasks include:
- Selection and management of stock for 27 libraries across Bristol making sure to reflect the diversity of the city.
- Promoting the service, both within the library buildings and outside via class visits etc., and liaison with key related organisations.
- Running projects and events to increase the use of Bristol Libraries by families, children, and young people.
- Being part of the Central Library Duty Manager rota and manage a team of Library Assistants You will make sure that the Central Library Children’s Library is a welcoming and attractive space.
You will be required to work the following pattern:
Week 1 Thurs 9.30-7 Fri 9.30-5
Week 2 Weds 9-5 Thurs 9.30-7 Fri 9.30-5
Week 3 Thurs 9.30-7 Fri 9.30-5
Week 4 Weds 9.30-5 Thurs 9.30-7 Sat 9-5
