Here at Advanced Supply Chain, we are looking for a Security Officer to join the team at our Sheffield site in Chapletown. We would like someone who has previous experiance working in secuirty however trianing will be given to the right candidate for this role. You will join us on a permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive rate of £11.79 per hour, plus a generous benefits package!
As our Security Officer, you will be joining our already established, high-profile team who are experts within the industry and have a wealth of knowledge and understanding between them. With a keen eye for detail, you’ll be helping them play a big part in keeping our site safe and secure. You’ll be a friendly face to many as you’ll be the first point of contact for all employees and visitors on site as well co-ordinating the flow of vehicles in and out of the site.
Responsibilities of our Security Officer will include:
- Carrying out gatehouse administration duties
- Coordinating access & egress on site
- Monitoring site CCTV
- Observing and recording day-to-day activities
- Booking and checking vehicles in and out of the site
- Greeting and directing visitors and contractors
- Performing search procedures of the warehouse employees
- Performing drug & alcohol testing
What we’re looking for in our Security Officer:
- Enthusiastic and self-driven
- SIA badge would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills
- Good time management and organisational skills
- The ability to work on own initiative and prioritise tasks
- The ability to work as a team member with minimum supervision
- Good IT skills including a good understanding o MS Excel, Word & Outlook
- Strong numeracy & literacy skills
- Determination and the desire to make a difference
- Experience of working in a gatehouse or in a security role is not necessary; we will provide full training to the successful Security Officer candidate
