The Role:
Lead and develop specific categories in all aspects of garment technology, being an expert in your category. Managing the end-to-end quality of fit, construction and technical performance.
Responsibilities:
- Development & maintain category standard manuals, minimum measurements, blocks, construction, and quality standards.
- Elevation of fit and quality demonstrating excellent technical fit skills and strong written communication.
- Provide technical specifications including grades and tolerances.
- Leverage the use of PLM through strong data management.
- Identify opportunities for cost saving through product engineering.
- Instigate opportunities for fit alignment were identified with your cross functional internal partners.
- Efficient management of business-critical path achieving on time requirements by management of fit meetings.
- Train and mentor category team with business lead objectives and goal setting.
- Risk manage category by ensuring all testing and performance requirements are applied.
- Management of product non-compliance with proactive problem-solving skills.
- Develop relationships and effective communication internally and with external suppliers with strong interpersonal skill.
The Person:
- Expert in Knitwear and yarn performance.
- Proven ability of manufacturing and quality processes.
- Labelling and compliance standards.
- Ability to treat confidential information with appropriate discretion and have a high level of integrity.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
