We have an exciting opportunity at Sherston Doggy Daycare!
We are looking for a part time, self employed person to join our team at our Dog Daycare in Sherston.
Our daycare is expanding and we are looking for a part time member to come and join in with taking care of each dogs individual needs. We follow each and every dogs needs during the day to allow them to play, interact, be stimulated and enjoy their time with us whilst fulfilling all of their daily needs. We also have an acre secure paddock for them to run and play with their canine companions.
Purpose of the role
Candidates have the important role of providing the highest level of care. From helping our youngest doggy members be introduced to the world of daycare in a suitable manner to getting interactive and entertaining all other dogs.
As a daycare assistant at Sherston Doggy Daycare you get to spend the day in the centre with the dogs providing mental and physical stimulation for the dogs, ensuring they have the most amazing and safe time!
hours- Monday - Friday -8am- 1pm
Key responsibilities:
- Constantly reviewing dog behaviour with other dogs and people, anticipating and disengaging unwanted behaviours.
- Immediately cleaning up after the dogs.
- Providing excellent customer care and service to clients.
- Cleaning and maintaining the indoor areas, outdoor areas, paddock and agility equipment.
- Treating dogs as the number one priority.
- The whole centre is kept clean and tidy, with a full clean every PM
- Taking pictures of the dogs in each area for use on social media and to send to owners.
Ideal candidate:
- Someone who enjoys dogs company and be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels.
- Can understand dogs body language, being able to act quickly and accordingly to prevent any unwanted situations.
- Can deliver great customer service
- Be well presented, well spoken with good communication skills to be able to speak to clients on collection and drop off.
- Be extremely reliable and trustworthy
- Needs own transport to get here.
- Basic understanding of dog behaviour with a willingness to learn
- Must be happy working in all weathers. The rain doesn’t stop play for our dogs.
