Job Description
We are looking for 2 new team members to join our exceptionally busy, family run garden centre. Due to the hours required to work, this role will not suit anyone still in education or further education.
We have 2 roles available.
Role 1:
This is a predominantly customer facing role, your duties will include
Cash register work
Putting out stock and stock rotation, including pricing (gardening items, plants, shrubs, chemicals, furniture, tools etc)
The right candidate will have an excellent manner with customers and the public, can work under pressure during busy periods and be able to adapt to working conditions during seasonal change.
Some heavy lifting maybe required. Ideally the candidate will have an interest in gardening, or previous horticulture/garden centre experience.
Hours: 20-25 hours per week/3-4 days, including one weekend day on a rota. Hours of work would be 9am - 4pm
Role 2
This is predominantly a horticulture sided role:
Stock rotation of new shrubs, plants and trees.
Care and looking after of stock, dead heading, trimming, feeding, watering.
Potting up of shrubs and plants.
Ad hoc grounds maintenance; grass cutting, weedkilling etc.
Using a company vehicle to delivery customer goods to local surrounding, a full UK license will be required.
Heavy lifting is part of the role. Ideally the candidate will have an interest in gardening, or previous horticulture/garden centre experience. Due to the type of work, you will spend time outside during all seasons of the year.
Hours: 20-25 hours per week/3-4 days (to be discussed), including one weekend day on a rota. Hours of work would be 9am - 4pm
Due to our location (LS25 5LE) you will need your own transport as we aren't on any public transport links.
