We help young people to build life-long belief in themselves, supporting them to take on their own challenges, follow their own passions and discover talents they never knew they had. Because when you prove yourself that you’re ready for anything nothing can hold you back.
Do you want to be part of that?
The Role
This is a 2 year fixed term contract
As Operations Officer in the North of England , you will support the operational delivery and development of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) through managing a portfolio of Licensed Organisations (LOs). These LOs are mostly schools but we also work with other organisations including colleges, local authorities, charities, pupil referral units, youth groups and young offender institutions.
We very rarely work directly with young people undertaking their DofE Award. Instead, your role will be to support partner organisations setting up and developing their own DofE programmes.
The role will be field-based and when not attending meetings employees work from home. You will need to have an appropriate home office set up and live within a reasonable distance of the portfolio area in Greater Manchester.
If you are excited about the prospect of working for the DofE and believe you have the desired skills and experience to make a real success of this role, then we are keen to hear from you.
What will you get in return?
The opportunity to work for a successful and dynamic charity that has the development of young people at its heart and the wellbeing and development of its people constantly in focus.
You will be joining a team of empowered colleagues working together.
A starting salary of between £27,000 - £30,428 per annum dependent on experience.
From day one we offer excellent staff benefits including a competitive salary, generous pension, volunteering leave, Healthcare cash plan and an employee assistance programme.
Through our Flexible Working policy, the DofE provides an opportunity to work flexibly to meet yours and our business needs.
