Job Title: Assistant Technical Author

Job Purpose
To prepare technical documentation for the global Lucy Electric organisation.
Key Accountabilities

Creating IOM’s, datasheets and instruction procedures for new Lucy Electric products.

Maintain existing switchgear IOM’s, datasheets and build instruction procedures.

To compile contract specific IOM documentation.

Creating and supply product images to Sales & Marketing for technical documents/sale brochures
Job Dimensions
The role will be based at Lucy Thame in the UK, travel within the UK and overseas may be required.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Experience & Knowledge:
- Mechanical Engineering Experience.
- Experience in Desk Top Publishing, ideally Adobe Framemaker.
- Experience in creating technical diagrams.
Qualifications:
- HNC Mech and / or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
Skills:
- PC literate in Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Ability to create technical diagrams
- Able to identify and manage priorities in a multiple project environment
Person Specification / Competencies:
- A self starter who can work without constant supervision.
- Able to work to deadlines
Desirable Experience & Knowledge:
- Electrical Switchgear Experience.
- Experience in graphical design ideally CorelDraw Graphics Suite 2021.
- Knowledge and experience of CAD 2D/3D packages, ideally Siemens NX.
- Knowledge and experience of PLM ideally Teamcentre.
- Knowledge and experience of 3D rendering software, ideally Keyshot 10.
- Experience in product photography and photography editing.
