Travel Accommodation Agent
Overview:
Our client is an established and fast-growing Destination Management company with offices in the UK and Ireland. They are looking for a Travel Accommodation Agent for the UK Department in their London office (remote). The successful applicant must have experience in the tourism industry.
Benefits and pay range:
· £dependent on experience. Permanent, Full Time Position
· Mon – Fri 9:00 – 5:00pm
· Hybrid or remote working option, + excellent company benefits
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Placement of group accommodation requirements according to buy rates or cheaper
· Processing of cancellations/amendments/overbookings/waitlists and all other administrative tasks
· Work with Business Development teams on accommodation requirements
· Developing and managing relationships with hotels, negotiating rates and identifying opportunities (including site visits)
Requirements and Qualifications:
· Confident in negotiating with external suppliers
· Extensive knowledge of the UK hotel market
· Knowledge of the geography of the United Kingdom
· Knowledge of Tourplan
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Excellent negotiation and communication skills
· Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
· Methodical, orderly and accurate. Must be able to work to strict deadlines and respond effectively to new tasks
· Flexibility and adaptability in approach
· Team player able to work in a busy environment
