As a Barclays Senior Banking Onboarding Relationship Manager, you will have an exciting opportunity to be responsible for the management of around 10 FTE operating across the US, Europe and Asia with direct responsibility for operational service, quality, efficiency and compliance. The Banking Onboarding Relationship Management Team is part of the wider Wholesale Client Onboarding Team, in charge of all activity relating to the onboarding of clients on behalf of the Barclays Investment Banking Business.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
• Being responsible for partnering with the business on the Onboarding strategy, business plan and future growth
  • Championing change and ensuring it is managed in a manner that delivers business benefits as well as minimising any negative impact
  • Acting as a single point of contact for client onboarding related escalations from Business, using evaluative judgement based on the analysis
  • Understanding of underlying business principles and the impact of regulatory requirements for multiple milestone teams
  • Running engagement sessions with Business Managers and Front Office partners to understand expectations, manage BAU priorities and assess demands
  • Ongoing governance to ensure service levels are being adhered and ensuring zero disruptions in Business activities
  • Displaying commercial awareness to ensure there are zero onboarding related revenue impacts
  • Delivering outstanding stakeholder Management and building solid working relationships by liaising with internal and external dependents
What we’re looking for:
• Solid Operations and Client Service experience relevant to Financial Services
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience within the Onboarding, KYC, Regulatory area
  • Experience in Financial Services and client facing/client service
  • Excellent leadership skills that will enable you to effectively lead and motivate a global team, across multiple time zones setting clear goals and objectives


Skills that will help you in the role:
• Established understanding and knowledge in Investment Banking and related products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and manage heavy volumes of work and prioritize accordingly
  • Knowledge and understanding of AML/KYC, Product, Regulatory, Credit, Legal, Ops and Tech enabling the ability to challenge inefficiencies and promote improvement areas
  • Exceptional analytical skills and detail oriented, with sound Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
