Job Description

Salary: £26,415.00 pro rata – (Grade 7, point 19) based on full time equivalent of £29,250.00 per annum, 37 hours per week, 41 weeks per year.

About Corby Technical School and the role

Corby Technical School is an outstanding free school (part of the Brooke Weston Trust) and we are seeking to appoint an outstanding Librarian. Ideally, they are an experienced School Librarian with the confidence to manage our school library with limited supervision. The successful candidate will organise materials for effective retrieval by classifying, cataloguing and indexing all library resources. They will maintain and monitor stock, ensuring an effective service that meets the requirements of the national curriculum, students and staff. Responsibilities will also include the financial management of the resources budget and the purchase and sale of revision books.

The school library is a hub of activity before and after school with many and varied co-curricular clubs alongside break and lunchtime activities for selected students.

This position would be equally suitable for someone currently employed as a library assistant looking to further their career as well as an experienced individual.
