We’re a well-regarded NHS GP Surgery located alongside the River Thames in the bustling village of Pangbourne, near the outskirts of Reading. We’re looking to recruit two part time administrators to join our friendly team.
The work is varied requiring a calm and meticulous approach. You must have excellent communication, I.T and organisation skills with an ability to work well under pressure. Full training will be given to enable you to carry out your role efficiently. However, experience working in general practice would be an advantage.
Duties across the 2 roles include:
- Processing SARs (requests for medical records) in line with GDPR and data protection laws
- Processing requests for patient data from third parties in line with GDPR and data protection laws
- Processing other non-NHS work, such as firearms certificate requests, in line with practice policy
- Raising invoices as required for non-NHS work carried out
- Assisting the nursing team with non-clinical tasks – such as ordering, processing referrals, checking immunisation histories.
- Assist with and provide cover for organising and processing incoming postal & electronic mail on to patient records, filing as relevant and coding as appropriate
- Adding and coding immunisations
- Providing secretarial cover during periods of leave and high workload
- Providing cover for registration and deduction of patients records
- Procurement of stationary, staff refreshments, medical equipment, kitchen and bathroom supplies etc
- General administration tasks; such as filing, photocopying, labelling medical notes.
