Job Description
We are currently looking to recruit a Project Draughtsman for our client, a roofing company based in Darlington.
The main duties of the role are to:
- Prepare details, plans, sections and general arrangement drawings as required to enable approval, material procurement and installation constraints. For all aspects of roofing and cladding systems.
- Be conversant with and apply the requirements of the Internal Q.A. procedures.
- Liaise with members of the Design Team to source all necessary information.
- Issue drawings and schedule materials as required suiting each specific site program ensuring all key dates given on programme are met.
Essential Criteria:
- Must be IT literate (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Proficient in AutoCAD
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of 3D software
Experience in the following systems would be advantageous:
- Flat roofing – Single Ply, Hot Melt, Cold applied & Felt
- Traditional Hard metal – Fully supported roofing & cladding Inc shingles such as Copper, Zinc and lead.
- Industrial roofing – Aluminium standing seam & composite panels
