As the climate emergency accelerates so does our need to protect and adapt to its consequences. Don’t miss a great opportunity to join a fantastic organisation where we put people first. As a member of one of our dynamic Partnerships and Strategic Overview teams you can help make a difference to communities and protect people’s lives?
We will also provide you with the on-the-job opportunities to develop your skills across a wide variety of flood related technical skills, with possible access to higher education and apprenticeships. Working closely with other teams and organisations, you can expect to be involved in any of the following:
- Collection, analysis and interpretation of data
- Flood risk mapping
- Working closely with customers and partners
- Taking part in incident management when flooding occurs
- Providing technical support to help the team deliver a variety of flood defence schemes.
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
Along with the salary and benefits package (see below) we offer you the opportunity for continued professional development and career progression within an organisation that is 10,000+ dedicated people strong.
