Operations Assistant UK / European
An exciting position has become available for a full-time UK / European Operations Assistant based in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary based on skills and experience, discussed at interview.
Continued growth of our business provides several career opportunities within the organisation. We are now seeking highly motivated individuals to join our UK/European Operations team at our head office in Middlesbrough.
The positions available are challenging, rewarding and require a high level of commitment. Training will be provided in house by existing members of the Operations team. The position is full-time and will require weekend work.
Role Requirements
- Will have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Requires a substantial amount of concentration and accuracy and an ability to prioritise and use own initiative is essential in their role
- Will have good IT literacy
- Previous experience within the shipping/transportation or freight forwarding industry would have an advantage but is not essential
Role Responsibilities
- Control and Management of suppliers in the UK and Europe for Transport, Shipping, Rail, Barge and depot
- Communication with all Bulkhaul overseas offices
- Updating of in-house Management/IT systems
- Costing of all operational activities
