Job Description

Location: Llandudno

Salary: Starting at £32,306

Contract Type: Permanent

Position Type: Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

Closing Date: 12th May 2023, 5pm.

This is an integral post covering our main St Davids Hospice site at Llandudno. St David’s Hospice Llandudno consists of 8 bedded in-patients’ unit and 4 virtual beds for Hospice at Home, there is also Hafan Dewi Sant unit that runs various day therapy/wellbeing clinics.

We are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference to our community.

Based in Conwy, Gwynedd and Môn, St Davids Hospice provides compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and support for their family. This is an exciting time to join St Davids Hospice Team.

We are currently growing our care team, moving from a traditional day hospice model to a well-being, drop in centre approach to help us reach and support more people. This post will be instrumental in helping us deliver our vision for the future of St Davids Hospice. We are looking for someone who can join our small team and make a big difference. Current services include Inpatient beds at both Llandudno and Holyhead, Hospice at Home in Conwy with wellbeing/Drop-in centres in Llandudno and Bangor. There are nurse led clinics, with the addition of support from physiotherapy, occupational therapy, counsellor, social worker, art therapy and complementary therapies.

The Physiotherapist role will be influential in ensuring that the Hospice meets the demand from its community.

Based in North West Wales St Davids Hospice provides compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and support for their family. As well as offering a competitive salary, we support continuing contributions to the NHS pension scheme (for existing members) and NEST pension scheme for others, we offer a package of employee support and development, flexible working opportunities, free onsite parking, and free refreshments. No weekend work is required although staff are encouraged to support our wonderful fundraising events where possible.

In return the successful candidate will join a team who are passionate about providing a wide range of services to support patients and carers, to enable people to remain at home and self-supporting for as long as possible and to support the MDT team in providing high standard of care to our in-patients who are admitted for symptom management, respite care and end of life care.
