Job Description

We support work/life balance and are able to offer alternative shift patterns every 2 weeks.

Week's one and three 5 days early shift. Week's two and four 5 days late shift.

One weekend off every 4 weeks.

Mission Statement

The duty managers liaise with guests, leadership and all departments to provide a positive guest and employee experience. They address daily challenges at the Banningham Crown in a professional and positive manner, in supporting the business development.

Scope

Reporting to the General Manager and Directors you are responsible for ensuring that the business operates efficiently and effectively. Scope of accountability includes customer service, security, cash balancing, some maintenance, cleaning and motivation and leadership of all front of house departments.

Company Standards

* Ensure company Operating Procedures are achieved and maintained at all times and are monitored and updated when and where necessary.

* Ensure Licensing requirements are met and adhered to in liaison with DPS if appropriate.

* Comply with, implement and ensure all Hygiene and Safety Policies are met at all times. Ensuring all EHO standards are met in all front of house areas with spot checks on Kitchen areas.

* Ensure employee conduct, uniform and personal hygiene requirements are adhered to.

* Ensure all external areas and entrances to the building are safe, clean and up to standard. All interior areas also to meet company standards through daily/shift start checks.

* Promote a positive perception of the company internally and externally.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Operations

Responsible for overall restaurant and beverage service.

Ensure all cash procedures are adhered to, monitored and balanced daily and weekly.

Responsible for stock control including ordering, acceptance, stock rotation and return of any sub-standard/incorrect items.

Ensure bar and restaurant areas are run smoothly and adequately stocked with all necessary goods.

Cellar management.

Dealing with customer bookings, enquiries and complaints online, by telephone and face to face using company procedures.

Promote the company to customers to maximise sales and revenue.

Produce effective Rota’s ensure staffing levels are appropriate and efficient.

Department monitoring including timekeeping, performance and adherence to procedures.

Human Resources

Communicate the company vision of success to the team.

Make recommendations to Directors for personal and staff development and salaries while implementing and maintaining training procedures.

Promote a positive attitude and team ethos, including hands on approach to lead by example, setting the pace and encouraging mutual respect.

Praise and recognise good performance.

Deal with poor performance through informal reprimand and recommend Company Disciplinary Procedure to Directors where necessary.

Development of the team to ensure food and beverage service is to spec in liaison with chefs therefore ensuring customers’ expectations are exceeded.

Recommendations on recruitment.

Other Duties

Attend management and Director’s meetings and complete actions and maintain communication to the team.

Proactive in problem solving on own initiative and in liaison with the team.

Provide management handover report.

Input ideas for events and company development.

Other duties as requested.
