Set within the quaint town of Ellon, less than half an hour from Aberdeen, Auchtercrag House is a purpose-built, care facility. If you’re not already working as a care assistant, you will be required to register to the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council), Meallmore will support you with this process.
Your role as a Meallmore Care Assistant will include:
- To promote/provide a high quality of care and support in accordance with Individual care/support plans.
- To assist in creating wellbeing within a caring environment and be involved in the general activities of the home.
- To adhere to Meallmore Standards, Policies and Procedures, National Care Standards.
- To work in line with the SSSC codes of Practice.
- Collaborate with care staff in your department and wider teams.
- Carry out personal care duties.
Desirable skills:
- Working towards the qualification to meet SSSC registration requirements.
- SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care (as per SSSC guidelines) is desirable.
- Communication and repour building skills.

Salary: £10.50 per hour + overtime rates + benefits
Hours: 37.37 hours per week + BANK
