The role
We are currently looking for a meticulous, numerate and ambitious individual able to manage a variety of tasks and meet important deadlines. The role encompasses assisting senior staff within the team, on the job training, day to day tasks. Study support is offered within continued professional development.
Key responsibilities (but not limited to)
Working closely with the team in practice, focusing on the preparation of both limited company and sole-trader accounts across a wide variety of sectors (using Excel and Keytime). Will also assist in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns, basic payroll (Payroll Manager) and bookkeeping (QuickBooks). The role also involves ad hoc assistance to senior members of staff and some administrative tasks for the day to day running of the practice.
Role requirements/past experience
-Part qualified ACA/ACCA or studying
-1 or 2 years past experience at a UK accounting firm, would be preferred
-Excellent IT skills, in particular manipulating Excel spreadsheets
-Past experience with QuickBooks preferable
