The Knockerdown Inn, set just off the beautiful Carsington Water is getting ready to open its doors for a busy summer season! Just 15 minutes from Ashbourne, Matlock and around 20 minutes from Derby.
We are looking for fun, enthusiastic and professional people to help us through the reopening process, getting prepared to welcome guests to our lovely country pub.
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to live on site in one of the two bedrooms above the business. Accommodation will include bills and internet, the successful candidate will however be responsible for their share of the council tax. The accommodation comprises 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and a large shared living area with TV, sofa etc all included.
Your day to day role will be to lead our front of house team, working closely with the General Manager to ensure that The Knockerdown Inn operates effectively, efficiently and safely.
Alongside the General Manager, you will oversee the daily operation of the pub, ensuring that key business objectives are met in a timely manner and that the overall business strategy is implemented.
Your main responsibilities will include;
- Leading and training our front of house team
- Making sure our guests experience excellent service on every one of your shifts
- Carrying out daily management duties such as set up, close down & cash handling
- Driving sales & ensuring the business' profitability is at the forefront
Given the importance of health and safety, you must maintain high standards of hygiene and ensure that that you abide by all company health and safety procedures and guidelines.
Hospitality and Managerial experience is essential for this senior role within our team.
