Main Accountabilities of the Role

This role involves:

• Assisting in the day-to-day operation delivery of prescribed services based at the Chalvey Waste Depot
• Predominately at the Household Waste and Recycling Centre
• But could also be asked to assist with:
• Transfer Station
• Weigh Bridge
• Ensure the service operates safely and is compliant with Slough Borough Council policies and procedures relating to both staff and customers.

What you will need to have

• An understanding in operational delivery in a similar service, including teamworking, safe systems of work and knowledge of technical / legislative compliance.
• dealing with the public, their enquiries, and difficult customers

Skills and Qualifications:

• a good general standard of education including English, maths, and IT literacy
• a willingness to train and secure qualifications e.g. Weights and Measures
