The Role
As the Group Energy & Utilities Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for procuring the best possible deals for energy & utilities for the Babcock Group and have a big hand in contributing towards our goal of achieving net zero.
Day to day, you’ll work as part of the group property team providing professional energy and water management services across the Babcock estate.
- Regular update of the energy management policy
- Utilities procurement, including liaison with energy procurement consultant and suppliers
- Monitoring energy usage across the organisation
- Identify opportunities for investment in energy saving
Experience Required
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of energy management skills
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of BMS and energy management software
- Sound understanding of the energy procurement market
- Extensive knowledge of energy legislation, including EPBD, ESOS SECR
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
This role is set up to be hybrid working with a mixture of office, home and periodic travel
Qualifications Required
- Educated to relevant degree level is preferable
- Member of the energy institute or CIBSE
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
