Job Description
We are really hoping to attract someone local from the BS14 area as the work is seasonal. Our busy time reflects the time when people wish to go on holiday. We are very busy at weekends and school holidays, and generally from February half term through to end of October and sometimes beginning of November and December. Typically the morning shift is around 2 to 3 hours 9am to 11am or a bit longer depending on how busy we are. The afternoon shift is typically 4pm to 6pm depending on the number of guests we have. Extra work is available to involve painting and general upkeep if you wish - we can discuss this element and suitability. But certainly part time can fit in very well. We can be a bit flexible on times as well to suit child care needs.
For the right person there may be office duties as well.
Just to be clear so you understand the type of role in the cattery I would mention;-
1. Our guests (cats) are treated as though they are our very own with total love and care.
2. Cleaning - You must be able to clean methodically, including sweeping , changing cat litter (pooh) and general washing and wiping down, all to a high standard. This is to ensure the accommodation is immaculately clean and safe.
3. Feeding - Cats must also be fed according to any strict dietary requirements.
4. Attention - Your love for animals must be showcased through caring interactions with cats during cleaning and feeding.
5. Customers - Ability to talk to owners and make them feel sure their cat will be cared for to a very high standard.
If you love cats then it is a very rewarding position, it is hard work; you will see many different breeds and personalities.
