About the role:
OPOP Media is a digital agency based in the heart of Manchester City Center, offering a wide range of services to businesses in both Manchester and across the United Kingdom, including marketing, advertising, and website development.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Social Media Manager to join OPOP Media and help manage a number of social media accounts for both in-house projects and external clients. Working collaboratively alongside the Marketing, Design and Content teams, you will coordinate and produce a consistent, high-quality social media output for a varied list of clients to help grow their social media presence.
Your responsibilities:
In this role, you will be relied upon to:
- Independently oversee the daily running of @thecallmevip and @connectwitheric social media
- Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
- Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals and with the aim of increasing brand awareness and customer engagement.
- Set measurable goals and objectives for campaigns, and report on ROI to help analyse the long-term needs of the company’s social media strategy.
- Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily.
- Develop weekly reports on emerging social media trends, competitor activity and channel performance.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure brand consistency.
- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews.
- Draft short, snappy captions to be used across a range of platforms.
The ideal candidate:
We’re looking for a passionate, experienced individual who can thrive both on their own and as part of a team with the aim of meeting client expectations and driving online growth and reputation. You need:
- 3+ years of experience in social media management.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Experience using analytics tools to track and measure social media performance.
- Self-Motivated.
- The ability to work within a team and independently.
- Good communication skills.
