We are looking for candidates who believe in the Citizens Advice mission and are looking for a new opportunity to have a positive impact on the local community.
This project is funded by The Trussell Trust and the successful candidate will be joining a team at Citizens Advice Rural Cambs who are working in partnership with Ely Foodbank to tackle underlying causes of poverty by providing advice, casework and support for people accessing foodbanks. Our advisers provide intensive support, and make a real difference to the lives of people accessing foodbanks – successfully reducing their need for foodbank support and developing resilience in their lives.
Following training, you will be able to provide information, advice and support to the beneficiaries of this project, advising on a wide range of issues such as benefits, debt, housing, employment, family and immigration.
The post-holder will work across Cambridgeshire in Ely foodbank venues which are located in Chatteris, Cottenham, Ely, Haddenham, Soham and Waterbeach as well as working from CARC offices in Huntingdon and Fenland.
Citizens Advice Rural Cambs is a local charity serving at the heart of our community, covering Fenland and Huntingdonshire and through this project East Cambridgeshire, entirely funded by grants and donations, and we are a member of national Citizens Advice.
Citizens Advice Rural Cambs values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination.
