Job Description

We are looking for a junior project manager looking to take the next step in their career to join our Professional Services team. Working with Aderant software applications in the legal and enterprise market, you will help manage the delivery of Aderant projects to our clients.

This may suit someone looking to make the switch from project coordination to project management or someone who works within a legal or technical firm looking to explore project management opportunities.

As one of a team of Project Managers you will be responsible for coordinating projects to ensure they are planned and completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. Project Managers are key to support successful implementations of Aderant software. Training on Aderant software will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project delivery for multiple projects according to contractual commitments.
  • Book appropriate resources and provide clear direction.
  • Identify and manage scope changes and gain commercial agreement with clients.
  • Apply Aderant project management methodology.
  • Actively contribute ideas to the project methodology and share best practice.
  • Manage both Executive and Operational level stakeholder relationships.
  • Strictly apply and adhere to project governance procedures.
  • Identify and manage all risks & issues through to successful mitigation.
  • Manage commercial budgets.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience of working with external customers/stakeholders
  • Demonstrate understanding of project lifecycle and delivery within a vendor business
  • A recognised Project Management qualification (or working toward one)
  • Able to confidently run workshop sessions/meetings with customer teams.
  • Outgoing and confident – with excellent verbal/written communication and the ability to effectively handle difficult situations and re-set client expectations.
  • Strong organisational skills
