Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate student to join us across our Compliance, Legal and Risk functions; where you will gain insight into the core elements of a Compliance framework, general risk management awareness and a greater understanding of legislation and regulation on the Isle of Man for Insurers.

A bit more about what you will be doing….
- Gain insight into the core elements of a Compliance framework including areas such as assurance, managing regulatory relationships and communications, regulatory and group compliance reporting obligations, and gain hands on experience by providing support to the Compliance Function during the placement period.
- Gain insight into the different topical compliance subject areas, such as prevention of financial crime, data protection and treating customers fairly and experience how these areas are managed within the Compliance function.
- How risk management interact with the business (include attendance at risk meetings eg a functional risk review).
- How to perform a risk assessment and take part in assessment process / assist with updating profiles.
- Operational Event Management – shadow root cause analysis.
- Insight into becoming a Manx advocate and the route to the profession.
- Legislation and regulation on the Isle of Man for Insurers.
- Assisting in preparing legal training for the business.
- Conducting the regulatory tracking for the week.
- Drafting legal reports.
