An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to carry out the internal audit of activities, financial records and systems across the Council whilst actively progressing their career. We are looking for an ambitious individual to Join a busy team who provide an Internal Audit Service to Bolsover, Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire Councils, the post will be based predominantly within the Chesterfield Borough Council team (based at Chesterfield Town Hall) but may be required to work at any of the locations.
We are looking for candidates with good interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate assertively with a wide range of customers and work to deadlines with minimum supervision. You will be provided with full training and support to challenge, investigate, test and assess risk, governance and control arrangements within the Council.
Ideally you will bring with you experience of working in a financial, or similar environment and the ability to work methodically with figures and produce accurate and concise reports.
