Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful and dedicated Senior Pharmacy Assistant to play a critical role , supporting the pharmacy technicians and pharmacists in providing medicines optimisation services across the boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.

You need to be service-user focused, compassionate and have the skills to work effectively in this rewarding area of care.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.

As part of the Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster Mental Health team, your time will be spent working at different sites within the boroughs, undertaking tasks which includes maintaining and ordering medication supplies, checking the suitability of patients own medicines and gathering information to support medicines reconciliation - full training and support will be provided.

You will also participate in dispensary sessions at St Charles Hospital, to accurately supply and dispense medicines for all CNWL sites, as well as weekend working and late duties on a rotational basis.

A good general education demonstrating a suitable level of literacy and numeracy is essential as well as good communication skills, an ability to work in teams, along with basic IT skills.

This post requires a conscientious and methodical person who is able to work accurately at all times and sometimes on their own.

This position is a full time post and you will be expected to work at CNWL’s sites in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster and the dispensary at St Charles Hospital, Ladbroke Grove.
