React Tech Lead, Remote - Outside IR35

React, NextJS, GraphQL, Azure
Lead Front End Developer with experience of React, NextJS, GraphQL and Azure is required by a highly prestigious luxury brand. Within this role you will lead a small team of both Front and Back End Developers dedicated to analysing and re-platforming Legacy applications and on-premise based infrastructure to a new Azure cloud platform. This is a remote working role with occasional visits to our client's London offices to attend workshops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a small, dedicated team, including building team alignment, code reviews, design workshops, story/ticket elaboration, etc.
- Design and development of a highly performant public facing NextJS React Application and associated system integrations in an Azure hosted environment.
- GraphQL and API schema/contract design
- Review existing Legacy implementations and input from the architecture team and building appropriate solutions on the new platform following best practices.
- Provide recommendations of new technologies or tools to ensure that the new platform is developed, tested and hosted in the most secure, scalable manner.
- Provide guidance on tools and recommendations for the automation of testing and deployments of all deliverables
Key Skills and Experience:
- ReactJS, NextJS, GraphQL, APIs, WebSockets and C#.
- Strong development experience in React and associated web technologies built up across a range of different enterprise-grade projects
- A strong development background in JavaScript, especially in the Azure environment, with experience of using GraphQL and schema design a plus.
- Azure Certifications an advantage
- Experience of designing Front End applications from the ground up, with knowledge of how to ensure these applications participate well in an enterprise cloud environment, eg error logging and monitoring, performance monitoring, resiliency, security and authorization, etc.
- Hands on experience of development, deployment and support within an Azure Environment
- Creation and maintenance of build and release automation (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps.
