An exciting opportunity for a B8a 0.8 WTE substantive post SLT working in Head and Neck Cancer and ENT in the largest regional centre in the UK. Due to investment by external stakeholders, you will be part of an innovative regional integrated project working across all aspects of the patient's pathway in surgery and oncology. We are a growing team who are committed to reducing health inequalities in Head and Neck cancer across Cheshire and Merseyside. We are looking for a team lead role who has advanced clinical skills that will enable us to deliver and train a growing team. You will be part of a supportive team where Research skills are actively encouraged and with close links to the University. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Liverpool Head and Neck Centre delivering world class research and patient care.
This role will be part of a well- established integrated Head and Neck Team. You will be joining a friendly supportive team working in a multidisciplinary setting. You will be expected to be an expert practitioner in the field of Head and Neck/ENT to lead a highly specialist regional service. You will have a passion for working within this field to lead and development the surgical and oncology pathway across Cheshire and Merseyside.

- The post holder will have significant leadership experience and highly specialist knowledge of differential diagnosis associated with Head and Neck cancer and ENT disorders.
- To provide a highly specialist SLT service to patients for the provision and delivery to the Regional Head and Neck service.
- To deliver specialist evidence based care assessment, planning, implementing, evaluating programs of evidence based care for Head and neck cancer/ ENT patients.
- Independently manage a complex highly specialist caseload including dysphagia, tracheostomy, communication and voice disorders.
- Assessment and independent management of laryngectomy patients with complex communication needs in the Regional Surgical Voice restoration clinic.
- Work collaboratively with medical staff and other professionals to provide optimum quality service for patients and their families.
- Lead instrumental assessment clinics e.g., VFS and FEES
