Join us as a Substance Misuse Support Worker and provide motivational support and guidance to our participants, both on an individual and group basis, from initial engagement and assessment through to exit from the programme.
You’ll work from one of our CFO Activity Hubs, aimed at providing tailored support to offenders following release from prison and to those serving community sentences. Alongside supporting a caseload of participants, you’ll design, lead and participate in hub activities and interventions around Substance Misuse, enabling them to change their lives and make a positive contribution to the local community.
We need your excellent planning and communication skills as you provide regular additional keywork and group sessions to those who have an identified substance misuse need. To support meeting the needs of the participant group, you will assist the rest of the support worker team in creating tailored progress plans to assist and support each of them into peer-led recovery and rehabilitative support networks.
Our successful candidate will ideally have a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or similar) or have experience working within the criminal justice sector. However, we appreciate that not everyone can tick every single box, just so long as you’re confident and are comfortable working with a diverse range of people from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances.
This is a rewarding opportunity that will allow you to help our participants change their lives around!
In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we're offering a competitive salary of £24,650 - £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:
