Job Description
An excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to use and develop their skills as a senior farm worker on our 700ac arable farm in North Shropshire. The role will comprise taking on much of the general day to day tractor work such as spraying, drilling, cultivations and combine harvesting to name a few. As the candidate becomes more familiar with our business then an increasing level of responsibility for the farm will be taken on.
The ideal candidate should have experience in similar positions and have a high level of understanding regarding how a farm business operates and the tasks which need to be carried out through the year. They must be able to help make key decisions in collaboration with the farm manager, and gradually take on more responsibility themselves. It is essential that the candidate is self-motivated, proactive and can commit to working longer hours in peak periods such as planting and harvest.
Training can be provided in specific areas where required, such as PA, pest control and forklift tickets

Negotiable depending on experience
Standard hours
8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (but seasonal peaks in work will need to be covered within the role)
Qualifications required
Good knowledge and experience of arable cropping
Computer literate
Knowledge of Gate Keeper an advantage
PA1, PA2 and PA4 an advantage
Forklift and telehandler tickets an advantage
