The Cambian Group is one of the largest providers of specialist behavioural and mental health services for children and young adults in the UK. Our services have a specific focus on individuals who present with high severity needs. We provide a broad range of specialist services. These services include specialist education schools and colleges for both day and residential learners, residential care homes and a therapeutic fostering services.
Cambian Dilston College
Dilston College is an independent specialist provider of further education. We offer day and up to 52-week residential placements for young people with a learning disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex needs. The young people that we work with at the College are aged between 16-25 years old.
Our person centred approach provides students with individualised learning programmes developed to effectively match their needs, personal decisions and aspirations. The focus could be on daily living skills, vocational qualifications or independent living. Our students gain important life skills and meaningful qualifications, evidencing our commitment to enabling increased choice, control and independence.
About the role:
As a Domestic Assistant you will be responsible for helping to provide and maintain a safe, clean, positive environment for our students who study and live at Dilston College. You will be working as part of a team to ensure that the residence and learning environment are all cleaned to a high standard following the health and safety policies and requirements.
You will be working within a homely environment with a responsibility for cleaning the communal areas and student bedrooms. We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and as part of a team with a positive and proactive approach to obtaining high standards of cleanliness. We are looking for a self-motivated, flexible and efficient individual who takes pride in their work and understands the important part they play within the team at Dilston College!
We are looking for a domestic assistant who:

Is self-motivated, flexible and efficient individual who takes pride in their work and understands the important part they play within our school.
Is flexible, organised and motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude
Has good communication skills
Is able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.
Although no specific experience is required, some knowledge of health and safety regulations within the workplace and/or previous cleaning experience would be advantageous.
