Our residential care home at The Old Rectory in Stalbridge, Dorset currently has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team.
The role offers varied shift patters, as an example our early shifts run from 7am to 2pm and our late shifts run from 2pm to 9/10pm.
The salary for this role is to £14.00 per hour.
Ideally you will already have a minimum of one years’ experience in a similar role. A QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential as we offer comprehensive training.

We offer a comprehensive training package to QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care and encourage all our staff to study beyond this if they are keen to progress to management roles.

Many of our staff have gained their career foundations with us and moved on to exciting jobs in the health sector, but we are also very keen to promote internally and encourage our Care Assistants to take on additional responsibilities, giving them opportunities for promotion to Senior Carer roles. Several of our Senior Managers have worked their way up from Care Assistant roles and as a result our staff retention is very high. You would take responsibility for the care of our residents or home care clients during your shift, this would involve handling medication, personal care duties such as bathing, dressing and assisting toileting/incontinence care. You would take an interest in the residents and clients, helping them to live as full and enjoyable a life as their health permits. You would also be required to carry out certain administrative duties, such as updating care records. You would support residents and clients at mealtimes, helping to serve meals. You might be asked to join in with our entertainment staff to help with planned activities, such as arts and crafts, or maybe even accompany residents and clients on day trips.
