Job Description
UBT provide business services including corporate training, consulting, accounting, and group buying services to approximately 1000 independent companies across the UK. Due to ongoing growth of the business, we require a Management Accountant to join our finance function based in Warwick.
In return for an excellent benefits package, you will assist the Company Accountant in the preparation and analysis of the monthly reports, budgets, forecasts, statutory accounts, and any ad hoc requests from the Board or RDM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyse financial information for internal use.
- Support budgeting and funding.
- Assist the company in managing its product portfolio.
- Evaluate the company’s performance using key data.
- Make forecasts to assist business planning and decision-making.
- Conduct risk assessment and advise on ways to minimize risk.
- Prepare monthly reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for GM, RDMs and Board.
- Analyse monthly results (actuals vs budget / forecast).
- Prepare forecast (P&L and Cash Flow).
- Assist in preparation of statutory format accounts.
- Update and maintain integrity of financial reporting.
- Assist RDMs in understanding monthly results and communication of variance analysis.
- Seek out opportunities to change existing processes and procedures within the finance structure to improve results or reduce costs or effort without compromising any internal controls.
- Participate in the development of improved management information systems and procedures.
- Specific focus on VAT analysis and assist with Corporation Tax periodically.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive experience as a Management Accountant, accounting supervisor or similar role.
- Work Experience in a practice background recommended
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified preferred
