Job Description Outpatient Receptionist - for 12 months fixed term opportunity In advance of the start of the clinic, ensure that the clinic is made aware of any problems To ensure that all patients are received and directed to the appropriate waiting area or department, To ensure that patients demographic details are always kept up to date To use the Patient Administration System , to book patients in and out of clinic Are you a pro-active, motivated individual who would enjoy working in a challenging and busy outpatient environment ? We are looking to appoint an outpatient receptionists to support the day to day running of outpatient reception team. You should have proven customer care skills or worked in a customer care focused environment. You will need to be able to work in a calm, logical and methodical way but be able to multi-task whilst dealing with frequent interruptions, and you must possess effective communication skills able to work well under pressure and be a key team player. This career has lots of job satisfaction on a daily basis, as you’ll be helping patients and their families with their requirements and providing administration support in their on-going healthcare. Administrative duties include answering patient queries, answering calls and booking appointments, , registering patients, sending emails, arranging transport and liaising with other healthcare professionals. To ensure that all patients are received and directed to the appropriate waiting area or department, in a courteous and professional manner. To ensure that patients demographic details are always kept up to date on the Patient Administration System (Lorenzo) system.
