Job Description
The Respiratory Centre at University Hosital Southampton, NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) is looking for an organised and euthusiastic team player with good telephone and interpersonal skills, to join our hardworking team of administrators. The role is being offered on a full time basis of 37.5 hours per week. The post holder will be required to work Monday-Sunday between the hours of 8am - 8pm but normal working pattern will be Monday - Friday, with the occasional weekend with prior notice.
The successful post holder will be joining the hard working Respiratory team based at University Hospital Southampton. Your roll will mean you will build a good relationship with the Consultant's, Admin Team and Nursing team. You will need excellent communication skills as you you will be dealing with patients by phone, email and face to face.

Your Responsibilities
What you’ll do
- To provide an excellent customer service to patients, relatives/carers and to external agencies.
- To book and highlight all available clinical capacity within short tern arounds.
- To provide and maintain clinical utilisation by the contact and confirmation of appointments with patients
What we’re looking for
- Good standard of secondary education with literacy and numeracy skills demonstrable to GCSE pass level or equivalent standard.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word.
- Administrative and organisational experience.
- Excellent telephone / communication skills.
- Proven ability to work to deadlines, prioritise and multi-task.
- Friendly and approachable manner.
