Bristol Medical School is seeking to appoint a full-time Deputy Student Administration Manager to manage the delivery of student administration services and support the quality of the student experience, working in a busy and friendly undergraduate administration team.
You will work in partnership with academic and other professional services staff and play a key role in supporting the administration of the undergraduate medical programme, deputising for the Medical Programme Education Manager as required.
You will work alongside two other Deputy Student Administration Managers (DSAM) who have distinct areas of responsibility and provide cross cover for each other where required.
You will have overall responsibility for the efficient administration, delivery and quality assurance of assessments and feedback within the undergraduate medical MB ChB Programme.
You will provide professional advice, guidance and support for all the centrally based assessments activity for all five years of the MB ChB Programme, and for oversight of the efficient administration of all marks data and assessments feedback to students.
The role holder will build assessments knowledge across the medical programme and be the expert user of the MSC-AA Question Bank and the assessment expert representing the programme at the Medical Schools Council Assessments Alliance (MSC-AA) Reference Group. You will also be building networks with the other professional programmes within the Faculty, and with colleagues in the wider university, to share knowledge and best practice.

The medical programme is complex and non-standard and there is a regular need to think innovatively developing new processes and providing valuable input into a changing environment. You will have a good eye for detail and strive to deliver excellence in every aspect of your work. This role will offer a fantastic development opportunity. The post-holder will also be a good team player, able to work effectively with staff at all levels in the School and in other service areas and with an ability to take initiative and show leadership to colleagues.
