We have an exciting opportunity for an Material Handler to join our team based in Welham Green. You will be joining us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, as our Machinist, you will receive a competitive salary plus benefits.
Working hours: 39 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 08:00-5:00, early finish on Friday 08:00-1:00

Key responsibilites of our Material Handler include:
- Receiving and processing new shipments of material and goods by unloading with a counterbalance forklift vehicle
- Checking shipments correspond to purchase order requirements
- Reviewing test data and CoCs from raw material and sub-con suppliers to eliminate downstream risk
- Verification of raw material test data with a mass spectrometer
- Marking up/labelling goods so they are identifiable
- Organising and storing goods in a suitable tidy and efficient manner
- Picking and cutting of material with a bandsaw
- Material movement to production lines
- Emptying and disposing of metal swarf bins to designated skips
- Cycle counting and maintaining batch and stock locations ensuring tight stock control
- Preparing and loading of goods to be despatched
- Quick sample inspection at goods in (after subcon operations)
- Delivering and collecting goods from subcon suppliers/customers (holiday & sickness cover)
- Other activities/ tasks as required

Essential Skills, Experience & Competencies we’re looking for in our Material Handler:
- An enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible team player
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise day to day tasks with good attention to detail
- Competent computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
- Experience of ERP systems
- Goods in inspection experience
- Counterbalance licence
- Health & Safety awareness
- Experience of measuring and cutting tools
- Material handling experience
- Full UK driving licence
