Grade 5: £28131 -£33348 per annum
Full time (36.5 hours/week) and permanent
This is a key role which will give the postholder exposure to all financial aspects of supporting an academic department with research units/centers.
The Finance Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance office ensuring transactions are processed accurately, on time, in line with budget and in accordance with university financial controls.
The postholder will work to ensure that the department implements and maintains effective and robust financial processes and controls and play a key role in maintaining overall financial health of the department. The Finance Officer will also be responsible for ensuring that the financial position of the department is closely monitored and that timely and accurate management information is provided to the Head of Department and the Head of Administration and Finance.
