Job Description
North Yorkshire Timber, part of National Timber Group are seeking to recruit a Customer Service Apprentice at their team at 103 Tynemouth Road, North Shields, NE30 1ED.
The successful candidate will be a customer orientated, motivated individual wishing to commence a career in sales. An excellent ambassador/representative with the ability to communicate across all areas of the business internally and externally. Good I.T., literacy and numeracy skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft packages are essential.
Main Duties:
Coordinate the daily administration of sales and purchases to ensure customer service, stock control and administration procedures are maintained, in particular when dealing with special goods for customer orders
Answering incoming telephone calls, taking details of orders and customer requirements, and feeding on to Sales staff within the branch
Daily use of the Company Stock Control Software ‘BisTrack’
Product awareness
Follow Health and Safety policies and procedures
Accept all incoming paperwork and process according to direction from your line manager and Company procedures
Giving telephone support to the Sales function
Dealing with customer enquiries and queries
Scanning and filing documents
Hours, Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday
Starting salary is above Apprentice National Minimum Wage
Six weeks holiday per year including public bank holidays, increasing to 6.6 weeks after 2 and 5 years service
