The Finance & Accountancy Division at The One Group is currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant on the behalf of an evolving and thriving service sector business based in Milton Keynes.
It's a fast-paced business, with various marketplaces around the globe and multi-sites in the UK.
As the Assistant Accountant, you will be supporting the Management Accountant with producing timely and accurate management accounting activities and play a pivotal role in driving the process improvements.
As the Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

Supporting with consolidating outcomes within a timeframe

Preparing board packs with the Management Accountant
-
Preparing month end reconciliation
-
P&L analysis
-
Assisting with year-end statutory audit in relation to both subsidiaries and group
-
Preparing and positing journals, accrual and prepayments to nominal ledger

Assisting with budgeting and forecasting

Supporting with audit preparation
-
Producing information packs for the Leadership team
As the Assistant Accountant, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
-
Minimum of a years' experience in an accounting role
-
Ability to work to tight deadlines
-
AAT final stages or early ACCA / CIMA / ACA
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving and data management skills
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Competent on Excel
In return, as the Assistant Accountant, you will receive:

Salary of £27,000 - £32,000 - depending on experience
