UniTrust is looking for an experienced, highly motivated control room Manager, to be based at UniTrust’s head office in Wembley.

Role:
Working within UniTrust’s HQ, your primary role is to lead the Control team and respond, report and take responsibility for the staffing and all UniTrust sites
Control Room Manager Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Operations Director on control room performance.
- Responsible for the line management of control room operatives.
- Ensuring the Operations team is kept up to date with staffing issues on all sites.
- Ensure that all controllers are monitoring incident reports as necessary and ensure that relevant Operations Manager is informed.
- Monitor the use of non-assigned contract support officers ensuring adequate shifts are allocated and Officers are regularly communicated with.
- Ensure all employees work in line with the working time directive.
- Co-ordinate with Operations Managers and HR to ensure that onsite training for all officers is completed.
- Ensure TimeGate is accurate and up to date with employee information in conjunction with HR. Also ensure contractual information is accurate and up to date in conjunction with the Contract managers. Any anomalies to be escalated to the relevant Operations Manager
- Assist the Operations Director and Operations Managers with UniTrust function management and deployment of function officers.
- Manage and deploy CP operatives as necessary when visits are due.
- Carrying out control room duties as required.
- Carrying out in a professional and diligent manner all other duties properly assignable to the position of Control Room Manager.
- To comply with applicable environmental, health and safety rules, procedures, laws and accepted safe work practices. You will have a duty to take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety and Environmental procedures are followed and do not undertake any activity which could breach the SIA or other relevant regulations.
- Escalate remote monitoring requirements as necessary.
- Ensure that all new sites are set up correctly on TimeGate and all relevant departments are aware.
- Manage the induction, development, or ongoing training of new team members across the disciplines where appropriate
- To be resilient to working in the most sensitive environments, always dealing with any conflict with a respectful and empathic approach
- To support internal and external audit processes from UniTrust Security representatives, the SIA, any other relevant body with a relevant interest and valid reason for inspection or compliance checks
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 3 years in managing a team of people
- Must have Security Industry knowledge and experience.
- Extensive experience in the use of time and attendance technologies (ideally Timegate).
- The ability, tact and diplomacy to deal with people at all levels.
- A consistently smart appearance.
- The ability to plan a shift to maximise effectiveness.
- The ability to forward plan rostering
- Be prepared to manage a wide variety and diversity of scenarios, people, and challenges
- Self-confidence and an interest in self-development
- Exposure to relevant Protective Security or Counter Terrorism Advice
- Previous experience in technologies to detect security threats in any given environment
- Excellent literacy and communication skills and have excellent verbal and written English
- Possess an excellent telephone manner
- Be computer literate
- Security Industry qualifications are desirable
Qualifications:
- Must have valid SIA licence.
