We are recruiting full time Laundry Assistants to join our Laundry team.
Weekend and bank holiday working is required for these roles
40 hours per week (shifts)
Working 5 days out of 7
Key responsibilities
- Sorting soiled linen and wash them with the correct washing programmes.
- To maintain the high standard when processing the clean linen.
- Maintain good levels of cleanliness and hygiene practices within the department.
- The high standard of linen quality is consistently achieved.
- To follow the Health & Safety procedures while on duty.
Hospitality & Service
To sort soiled linen into sheets, towels, table linen etc.
Ensure there are enough chemicals to feed the machines.
Load machines to capacity, whether it is sheets or towels, table linen etc. Set programme into machine for the appropriate wash.
Maintain ironer with sheets and table linen and fold after ironing. When towels are dry, unload and fold.
To store finished linen in laundry clean linen cupboard with care.
To clean all the laundry equipment every fortnights.
Make sure guest needs are met at all the time.
What we are looking for:
Enthusiasm, dedication, and the ability to work in a team
Excellent customer care and communication skills
The ability to interact with colleagues and guests in a friendly and professional manner
Be well presented and able to remain calm under pressure
Previous experience in a housekeeping / laundry role would be beneficial.
